Well, finally, the adventures are continuing. This post is much closer to present day. I visited the spider on October 9, 2022. This “odd & unusual” location is just south of the I-10, Indian Canyon Drive off-ramp. Just past the Jack In The Box headed south on the west side of Indian Canyon Drive.

This at least the third and maybe the fourth similar “spider” that I have seen in my travels over the years. As I find the past photos and make posts, I will certainly link them all.

In my research, I saw that the “spider” was located outside a welding shop, but I did not see a name or address on the buliding.

Like the others I have seen, this is based on the classic VW Beetle or “Bug” as it’s more fondly known. The artist then welds or secures somehow the eight legs making it a “spider.”

Although the photographs don’t show it well, this one’s legs appear to have Christmas lights wrapped around them. It gives the effect of spurs on the legs. I wasn’t there in the evening to know if they are lit up. Or, maybe it’s just a holiday thing.

As always, THANK YOU for the visit. I welcome and appreciate comments (at the bottom of every page/post) and/or EMAILS. Please feel free to SUBSCRIBE (free or voluntary donation) to this site.
